Written reflection is an essential skill you need to develop in Drama. Your logbook is a valuable and special place for you to record and reflect on your developing skills and should be used to do this on at least a weekly basis.
What else should you use your logbook for?
Planning work in performance and playbuilding
Jotting down thoughts and observations
Writing scripts
Writing reviews of performances you have seen
Collecting resources such as newspaper clippings of theatre reviews, photos, articles or anything which may have dramatic potential
Keeping a record of theatrical excursions by pasting in tickets and/or programs
Research you have undertaken about playbuilding or theatrical traditions/performance styles studied
To evaluate your work and that of others
To research some of the quotes in this book by famous Drama practitioners
To record vocabulary and meanings as you learn new terms
