GAT Stage 1 Blackline Masters
Worksheets contained in this set of Blackline Masters can be used to support Gifted and Talented Students in Stage 1 of the primary curriculum.
The GAT books have been developed to cater for the needs of gifted children in mainstream classrooms. The photocopiable worksheets contain open ended questions which generate alternative methods of solution and in so doing, involve children thinking along several lines of enquiry. Ideally the worksheets may be used to challenge fast finishers or to develop lateral thinking strategies in promising students.
The exercises pose problems to be solved from all KLAs, some involve writing tasks, some require evaluation or classification, some include the application of logic or inference, and some (mathematical problems) require smart sequencing and organising before engaging in computation.
These sets of exercises incorporating Bloom's Taxonomy will help children further develop:
- concepts and skills of knowledge
