Golden Stories Anthology

AATE conducted a 50 Word Fiction competition to celebrate its 50th Anniversary in 2014.  The theme was 'Golden Stories'.  Entry was open to all Australian students enrolled in years 7 to 12 at government, Catholic and independent schools as well as students receiving home schooling.  The competition was also open to members of English Teaching Associations affiliated with AATE, including ETA and AATE Life Members.

Almost 900 entries were received from across Australia in the three categories:

• Junior (years 7, 8 and 9)
• Senior (years 10, 11 and 12)
• Masters (ETA/AATE members and Life Members)

This anthology is a collation of the first, second and third national prize winners in each category, as well as national finalists and those entries that were highly commended by the judges.
