Hiragana in Topics

Hiragana in Topics is a fun workbook for beginnning students of Japanese. It provides practical exercises in reading and writing hiragana.

It is designed primarily for use in the classroom as a supplement to most existing courses for beginning Japanese. It contains basic writing practice pages for the introduction of hiragana and allows students to be creative in designing their own mnemonics for each of the characters. Quiz pages help to consolidate their learning. Answers for most pages make a good reference for students working on their own.

The workbook continues with word writing practice and basic introductory topics in which students continuously practice and reinforce their acquisition of basic hiragana. By the end of the workbook, a beginning student would have confidence in both reading and writing hiragana at a basic level.
