Practise pairing words by word family in this purrfectly fun game! Players take turns drawing from the deck of word cards and matching them with the cards in front of them. The first player to make four matching pairs wins the game. The game is separated into three colour-coded decks to optimise gameplay for 2-4 players. The game includes 150 cards, offering players practice with 24 word families. Directions with additional activities included. Ages 5+
Word Families included in this game:
ack, ail, ake, an, ank, ap, ash, at, ay, est, ice, ick, id, ide, ight, ill, in, ing, ink, ip, oop, ot, ump, unk
After shuffling, deal four cards to each player. Place the remaining cards facedown in the middle of the table. All players should place their cards faceup on the table in front of them and make pairs with any of their cards that are in the same word family. They then turn their pairs facedown.
Player one chooses a card from the deck and scans their cards in front of them to see if they have a match.
If they have a match, the player makes a pair and says "Meow!" and turns the pair facedown.
If there is not a match, the player lays the card faceup on the table in front of them and the next player has their turn.
Optional play: On a player's turn they may scan other player's cards and steal one to use for a match for their cards faceup in front of them. If there is no match they draw a card from the deck.
