Primary Comprehension Book 6

Primary Comprehension is a series of six workbooks designed to provide opportunities for students to read texts in a variety of genres, to answer questions at literal, inferential and applied levels and to practise a variety of selected comprehension strategies. 

The books in the series are each organised into 20 units. Each unit in the upper primary books (Books 5 and 6) begins with a text for reading and close study. It is followed by exercises comprising five multiple-choice questions and ten open-ended questions.

The Editor

Dr Leong Ping, Alvin, is a Senior Lecturer at the Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He has taught courses on writing, text types, and grammar, and has published a number of scholarly articles on functional grammar in internationally refereed journals. He is also the author of a book on the thematic structure of language and the coauthor of a book on general linguistics.
